Hey everyone! I am still working on An Exile's Tale, and I think it is coming along really well. I am very emotionally connected to a certain character, and while I would hate to give any spoilers, I did almost cry while writing a certain scene about them. I can't wait until I can share this book with all of you, I have been working on it a lot this week, especially this Tuesday, when I wasn't doing homework. I'm sure all of you will enjoy it. My writing has grown immensely from when I wrote The Elven Princess at twelve, LOL. I know this book is taking a long time to come out. I published The Elven Princess when I was fourteen, and I had been working on this story before I even published that, so it has been around three to four years. That's honestly kind of crazy to think about, but I have no doubt that this book is the best one yet. Have there been struggles? Yes. Have I wanted to quit quite a few times? Yes. But that is all part of the process, and no one who accomplishes anything great has ever done so by giving up. I do hope to share this story with y'all soon, but until then, know that this book is one of my favorite things I have ever written. After all, an adventure always takes a while to be completed.

Hi everyone! I think it is so funny that I thought I was almost done with An Exile's Tale. Every time I say that, I just end up adding more stuff, so clearly, I should stop saying that. BUT, the good news in that is that while I was editing, I caught a plot hole, and am currently adding a chapter or two or maybe three to fill that gap. (It was a large plot hole). The bad news is that means that y'all are going to have to wait a little while longer for the book. But you know what, that's okay. It just means that when this book is released, it is going to be amazing. I don't want to have any regrets with this book, so catching the plot holes now vs post publication is way better for me. As of right now, I am at 20 chapters, but I did, 18 of which are fully edited. Hope y'all will enjoy the book when I finish it and get it out to you!!!

Hi everyone! We are going to do a fun thing I like to call, "Funny Lines Out of Context." So, without further ado, funny lines from my upcoming book, An Exile's Tale without any context and in no particular order: “You were stalking me?” “No,” Kreiger sighed, “Keira, I . . . well yeah I guess maybe you could count it as stalking . . . but it wasn’t like that." When she was unsuccessful in killing him, she finally looked up to see who had entered. The look of anger faded to one of disappointment. “Oh, it’s you." He rolled his eyes, and huffed, “is this interrogation over yet?” “Do you want your life to be over?” “Not desperately.” “Then no, you’re not done yet.” Xavier glowered. “And I would think a woman of your battle prowess would know better than to rub in their victory, but clearly I am also mistaken.” Keira raised an eyebrow. “You’re a very sore loser." “Ah, good!” James said cheerfully. “Thank you for volunteering!” “I didn’t volunteer!” "Too bad," James said as he stepped toward the wagon and unlocked the door. “You've been volunteered, so just come with me.”

Surprise!!! Today you guys get a sneak peak at An Exile's Tale! Behold, THE PROLOGUE: Once, Keira was free to roam the world, but now, she was forced to live in exile. Once, she was highly respected, but now she was scorned as one who has fallen into darkness. Once, she was madly in love, but he was ripped from her like a slave sold at auction. But now, if she were to introduce herself to anyone on the street, they probably wouldn’t know who she was. Her name is Keira Klang, and she was once a fiywren, also known as a “warrior for good,” then she saw “the light,” as the other side put it, and became a shackiye. But she found all of the death, the hate, and the darkness overpowering. So Keira left, proclaimed a traitor by both sides;  neither fiywren or shackiye. Now, she was a neutral party,  her sword and magic as her only guide. She was responsible to no one but herself, and it was fun. She did what she thought was right, and she allowed herself no regrets. Thus, she does not regret the choices she made. She does not regret that went to the shackiye, for it showed her that neither side was right. One talks of honor, the other of glory, but both were betrayers to their own minds and convictions. So here she found herself, desolate and alone; but free. Free from the rules that govern the hypocrites and those who call themselves just. She was doing what she loved. For the first time, she was without someone telling her that her dreams were not to be followed. Her dream came true, and what made them come true was her own hard work. This was the reason she was continuing in exile, that, if she fought hard enough, she could leave. She had found a purpose, greater than that of the fiywren or the shackiye. She had started something that others had attempted, but none had achieved. She had done what she’d believed to be impossible. She had scaled a mountain everyone told her she could never climb. She’d built her own kingdom, Elvanora, out of those who were exiled or had been forced to flee from the oppression of the hypocrites, but did not believe in the regrets of the weak. This is her story.

Hey everyone! I have been working on updating The Elven Princess. I mentioned maybe extending it, and adding some scenes. But while I was working on it, it felt like I was changing the story. The truth is I am a different author than I was back then. I wrote that when I was 12, and published it when I was about 14. I can't really replicate my old writing style, and when I try to add things, it just feels wrong. I love the story. Sure, there's a few things wrong with it, but I was 12. So I have decided that I will probably just go through and do some grammar edits. MAYBE I will add some bloopers to the end of it, but I'm not sure yet. What are y'alls thoughts? Yours, Allie

Hi everyone! I am still working on An Exile's Tale, and I thought I would tell y'all about something cool I decided to do for this book that I didn't do for The Elven Princess. I decided to add bloopers into the back of my book! After the Acknowledgments, I wrote a bunch of funny scenes. Some of them are references to other books, movies, games, etc, and some are just silly ways a scene could have gone. Either way, I think they are really good and something that you definitely won't want to miss! Yours, Allie

Hey y'all! I decided I wanted to start this blog, and I figured since its the start of a new year, now would be the perfect time to begin! I will be posting every Wednesday at noon, so be sure to stay tuned!!! First things first, a little bit about me: I'm a seventeen-year-old indie author who has one book published, titled The Elven Princess. It's prequel, An Exile's Tale is currently in the editing stage, and I am hoping to finish that really soon! I love anything to do with fantasy and elves, and I love looking at the stars. Now, onto my thoughts on writing: It is really hard to type with long nails. I'm sure you've seen the movies with stylish women working in offices with long nails. It is way way harder than they make it look. I got some long nails for our new years eve party, and typing with them is not that easy. You have to hold your hands in a different position than you normally would which is hard to get used to. THAT SAID, once you get used to it you can type pretty fast. As for updates on my book, An Exile's Tale, I have been working on editing it, and so far it is almost 40,000 words! I am super excited to share it with all of you once it's done. Yours, Allie
